Terms of service
These terms cover the Fit For Life Method website and the online coaching, running, Hyrox and nutrition services we provide. Please read them before signing up — by using this website or engaging our services, you agree to them.
Who we are
Fit For Life Method is part of Fit For Life Health & Fitness, based in Upper Ferntree Gully, Victoria. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Fit For Life Method, and "you" means the person using this website or receiving our services.
Our services
We provide online coaching and programming, which may include:
- Individually written strength, running, Hyrox or general conditioning programming;
- Delivery of that programming through a coaching app;
- Nutrition guidance and habit coaching;
- Check-ins, feedback and adjustments over the course of your program.
What is included, how often we check in, and how long your program runs are set out in the plan you sign up to. Our services are coaching services delivered remotely; they are not a substitute for medical, physiotherapy, psychological or dietetic treatment.
Health, fitness and your safety
This is the most important section on this page, so we have kept it plain.
- Exercise carries risk. Physical training involves a risk of injury, and in rare cases serious injury. By taking part you accept that risk.
- Get medical clearance if there is any doubt. You should speak to your doctor before starting any new exercise or nutrition program — particularly if you are pregnant or postnatal, have or have had a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, an injury, a chronic condition, an eating disorder, or you are returning to training after a long break, illness or surgery.
- Tell us the truth about your health. You agree to give us accurate and complete information about your health, injuries, medical conditions, medications and training history, and to tell us promptly if any of it changes. We program based on what you tell us.
- Stop if something is wrong. Stop training and seek medical advice if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, or anything else that does not feel right. Never push through pain because it is written in your program.
- You are training unsupervised. Because coaching is delivered remotely, we are not present to watch your technique or intervene. You are responsible for training in a safe environment, using equipment correctly, and working within your own limits.
- Nutrition guidance is general in nature. It is not clinical dietetic advice and is not designed to treat any medical condition. If you have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating, work with an appropriate health professional.
No guarantee of specific results
We coach in good faith and program carefully, but results depend on many things outside our control — including consistency, sleep, stress, nutrition, genetics, injury history and life circumstances. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, result, time, weight, body composition or race placing.
Fees and payment
Fees, billing frequency, and the length of your commitment are those set out in the plan you sign up to and confirmed to you at the time. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store your card details. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, fees are payable in advance and access to coaching may be paused if payment fails or falls behind.
Cancellation and changes
You may cancel ongoing coaching in line with the notice period set out in the plan you signed up to. To cancel, contact us in writing at [email protected]. If you need to pause for injury, illness, travel or life circumstances, talk to us — we will do our best to accommodate you.
We may need to change, pause or end a coaching arrangement, for example if it is no longer appropriate for your health, if these terms are breached, or if the coaching relationship is not working. Where we do, we will give you reasonable notice and refund any fees you have paid for services not yet delivered.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, including that they will be provided with due care and skill.
Where we are legally able to limit our liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.
Limitation of liability
Subject to the section above, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your participation in training, your use of programming, your reliance on nutrition guidance, or your use of this website — except to the extent it is caused by our negligence or breach of these terms.
Your program is for you
